About ICAPFS 2026

The International Conference on Animal Production for Food Sustainability (ICAPFS) will be held on 21 December 2026 in Herning, Denmark.

ICAPFS brings together researchers, scientists, academicians, industry professionals and students to discuss the latest advances and innovations in Animal Production for Food Sustainability.

The conference is an international forum to meet experts, present your research, receive feedback from peers and explore interdisciplinary approaches. Papers can be presented in person or online.

Hosted by USRS, the United Science Research Society, ICAPFS is a platform for innovation, networking and scientific growth in Animal Production for Food Sustainability.

All registered papers of ICAPFS 2026 are published in the conference proceedings (with an ISBN).

Extended versions of selected papers can be submitted to associated international journals, including Scopus, SCI and Web of Science indexed journals, on the author's written request. The journal decides on acceptance. Publication details

ICAPFS 2026 Call for Papers

Original research papers, abstracts, case studies and review papers in Animal Production for Food Sustainability are welcome. Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Animal diets
  • Animal feed science and nutrition
  • Animal nutrition for agricultural species, companion species and exotic species
  • New product development
  • Innovative enzyme, natural betaine and probiotic feed technologies
  • Nutritional requirements of animals
  • Animal nutritional management
  • Amino acids (both traditionally classified essential and nonessential)
  • Carbohydrates, fatty acids, minerals and vitamins
  • Carbohydrates, fat, essential fatty acids, fiber and protein
  • Antioxidants, phytochemicals and ash
  • Minerals: macrominerals, trace minerals
  • Agricultural Economics and Bioeconomy
  • Conservation and utilisation of plant, animal and fish genetic resources
  • Food and nutrition security for improved health

Registration Fees for ICAPFS 2026

At least one author of every accepted paper must register by 1 December 2026 for the paper to appear in the proceedings and the technical programme.

ICAPFS 2026 Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I attend a USRS conference?

USRS conferences give you an international platform to present your research, network with peers, meet industry experts and receive a certificate of participation and presentation.

Will my paper be published?

Accepted and registered papers are published in the USRS conference proceedings with an ISBN. Extended versions of selected papers can be submitted to associated international journals, including journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science or Google Scholar, on the author's written request. The journal reviews the paper and decides on acceptance, and the author pays the journal's publication cost.

What is the peer-review process?

Every submission is checked with plagiarism detection software and reviewed by two internal or external USRS reviewers. Acceptance is based on originality, relevance, methodology, technical quality and contribution to the field.

How long does it take to receive acceptance or rejection?

Authors are generally notified within one to two weeks after submission.

Can I present online if I cannot travel?

Yes. USRS offers both physical and virtual presentation options. Online presenters present live by video conference for up to 10 minutes; choose the online attendee fee when you register.

How long is an oral presentation?

Oral presentations are 15 minutes long, including 5 minutes for questions and discussion. The paper must be presented by one of its authors or co-authors.

How can I get an invitation letter for my visa?

Invitation letters are issued by email to registered authors, delegates and participants after payment confirmation. Send the registration form, payment proof, a passport-size photo and a passport scan to [email protected]. The visa process usually takes about one month, so apply early. Only the embassy or consulate decides on the visa.

What is the refund policy?

Registration fees are not refunded if a participant cancels, cannot attend, arrives after the reporting time or is refused a visa. If USRS cancels or reschedules an event, you receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee, valid for another USRS event within one year. See the rules and regulations for details.
