USRS honours attendees with awards that celebrate and inspire their achievements at its conferences and events. The awards recognise hard work in fields that keep evolving.
1. Recognition and encouragement awards
Awards that acknowledge outstanding professional accomplishment, decided by a panel of experienced reviewers and session chairs.
2. Best Presentation Award
For researchers who show exceptional presentation skills and communicate their research clearly to their peers. The award is decided by the session chairs and co-chairs and given to the author who delivers the most engaging, clear and concise presentation, at the end of the presentation session.
3. Young Scientist Award
Celebrates young researchers, judged on presentation skills, research impact and application. Participants pursuing Masters, PhD or post-doctoral studies are eligible, and the award is given after all oral presentations in the young researchers category.
4. Best Paper Award
Recognises research with a high level of originality, technical merit and relevance to the field, selected by a panel of experts. The award ceremony is held at the end of the conference.
5. Best Poster Award
For the best poster of the event, chosen by the poster session judges for content and clarity, originality, communication, scientific quality, layout and the description of results. It is given after the poster session.
